adventures of the three boys

Luke loves Zane and tries to kiss (and sometimes lick) him as much as possible.
 Happy to be with Daddy!

This was one of the first times Zane really smiled and cooed.

Sweet corn...good to eat, even raw!

Luke is trying to take the camera from me here...but what a cute face shot.

 Three buds
 Hold on, Elijah!

 Honey toast, his favorite!

Tools are Luke's favorite toys, and he's always inventing new ways to use them.  He really believes that he is working!

It was cold enough yesterday for Zane to wear a hat, and the big boys to wear sweatshirts!

Daddy is making a swingset, and Luke wants to get in on every part of it.

Summer finally made it here, and we've been enjoying our nice weather.  I am feeling a little less like a survivor and more like we're gonna make it, taking care of three now.  :)

Elijah and Luke are both big fans of Zane, and it's cute to see them all on the floor or on Elijah's bed together (Luke thinks that we lay on the floor in our family, because he sees Elijah there a lot).

I'm enjoying this season of life as a family.  Elijah is responding more and more, and I think he is definitely trying to say things to us.  It makes me a little crazy sometimes, knowing that his thoughts are all locked up inside and he wishes he could tell us things.  I'm praying that God will make us creative to help him communicate.

Luke is a little ball of energy and fun.  He almost always has a smile, unless he's helping Dad with tools, and then he seriously concentrates.  He is very good with his hands, and can use a real hammer without too many slips off the nail (though the nail doesn't make much progress).  He has a real pliers, tiny screw-driver, and tape measure to use in the house, plus a small wooden hammer.  Sometimes Dad lets him use the drill (without a bit) in the house too. He's talking so much these days, and can usually get across what he wants to say.  He calls himself Lute or Lutie.

Baby Zane is a sweet little guy and sleeps pretty good at night.  He laughs a lot already.  His cry is also much louder than Luke's was -- he won't get left out of things for long!  We're so thankful for the gift from God of a new life!
