God's provided a new place for our little family to call home! About a month ago, we were investigating the possiblity of buying a foreclosed-upon home that needed a huge amount of repair. In my humble opinion, we probably would have been better off to burn it and start over! (See above picture -- haha, did you think that was our new house?) In the process of checking this place out, we asked a contractor from our church to take a look at it. (He called it a 'money pit', by the way.)
(The above was the well for the foreclosed-upon home. What would happen if a mouse or small animal were to fall in? I don't want to think about that!)
Thank you, Lord!
So we are moving this weekend into a gorgeous three-bedroom, two-bath home with a garage and lots of space. It is much more than we would ever have been able to afford to rent or buy in this expensive, resort-type area. So these verses from Colossians 4 are running through my head lately:
"...for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need." (Col. 4: 11b-12)
We thank You, Lord, for providing this new place of "prosperity and abundance" for us, however long it lasts... and help us to learn the secret of contentment, wherever You put us in the future!

Yea! Yea! Yea! You will have to invite us for a visit once you get settled in.
I was thinking of offering to drive up on Sat for some girl time, but I guess we'll have to do a rain check for another time.
We're so glad that God provided such a great place for you and hope it quickly feels like home. Hope the move goes well!
