2 down, 38 to go...

We have begun! Elijah had his SPECT scan on Monday, and we were successful in doing the scan without having to use general anesthetic (for which I am thankful).

On Tuesday, things were good to go with our paperwork and Elijah started his hyperbaric oxygen therapy! He goes once a day, five times per week, and we will be doing this for the next eight weeks (a total of 40 treatments). The clinic is 90 minutes from our house, but some kind friends have given Elijah and I a place to stay during the weekdays. We'll go home on weekends. Please pray that God will give us grace to be apart as a family, and that Elijah will show GREAT improvement over the next few weeks.

We are excited that these treatments have started. Tell Elijah that Uncle Tytus thinks he is a fighter. Tell him we are so very impressed how much he is growing and learning. Very impressed to see all the development like crawling. I am so proud that he does not give up. Keep fighting, buddy! You are going to do very well with your oxygen treatments! Come visit soon and we will drive monster trucks again. We are praying for you!! Remember, like King David, the Battle belongs to the Lord!

Wow! I'm so glad the oxygen treatment is underway. We will continue to pray for his endurance during the treatment and that it will hold good results.

Also, we will pray as you have to drive to the sessions and for Todd as he is missing his family during the week.

With love,

Carrie and family
